Norwich-Fashion-Week-2012-2

Norwich Fashion Week is holding a pop-up event on Saturday 26th October 2013 between 10am and 4pm at The Forum in Norwich to bring a flavour of the main event to city shoppers and scout for potential models.

The free event will include a series of live fashion shoots to highlight the diversity of fashion in Norwich, including sets from John Lewis, Debenhams, Jarrold, Norwich’s vintage scene and local designers including Annelli Clarke, Betsy Hatter, House of Handmade, Mystic Magic Masks and Stoned and Hammered.

Organisers from Norwich Fashion Week, which will return to the city between 6th and 13th March 2014, will also be scouting the crowd for potential catwalk stars as the ‘Face of Norwich Fashion Week 2014’ is launched in association with Sandra Reynolds model agency.

Applications for models to take part in the 2014 event will be available and people interested can sign-up on the day at the Sandra Reynolds booth. The competition runs until December.

Additional highlights include styling and make-up advice from the fashion and beauty team at Jarrold, a fashion exhibition from students at the Norwich University of the Arts, a Street Photography exhibition by students at City College Norwich and an exhibition and workshops by the Costume and Textile Association.

Norwich Fashion Week Board Member Fiona Muller comments: “This is the first time that we’ve held a pop-up event and we’re hoping it will help promote Norwich Fashion Week to a wider audience and showcase the thriving fashion and beauty scene that Norwich has. It’s also a chance to promote an array of talented local designers, as well as budding talent from local students.”

Now in its fourth year, Norwich Fashion Week is recognised as one of the flagship cultural events in Norwich. Norwich Fashion Week returns to Norwich between 6th and 14th March 2014.
