NOW IS THE TIME TO JOIN OUR HOCKEY CLUB
IT COULD NOT BE EASIER
Congratulations to coach Danny Kerry (ex-Pelicans HC!) and captain Kate Richardson-Walsh and all members of the GB women’s squad on winning gold at Rio 2016. They have done the country and our sport proud by this quite outstanding achievement which thrilled millions of television watchers last Friday evening.
This triumph has given a huge boost to our sport and we at Magpies want to be part of that boost!
So if you know of anyone inspired by the GB women to consider taking up our sport or returning to our sport please encourage them to do so. There is no better club to join than Magpies!
The club provides hockey for men, women, boys and girls – of all ages and abilities. Coaching is provided for those new to the sport or who have played before.

THE SEASON AHEAD
a) Training for the new season is now well underway and if you have not already joined in you will be very welcome – please see the website for details.
b) Pre-season matches – please see the website for details including the Club Day on Saturday 3 September.

c) The new league season commences on Saturday 17 September.
Musings will be once again be issued weekly from early September with the present author tapping his keyboard for one last season!
