The Jamie Oliver Foundation is working closely with Orford Primary School on the School’s Kitchen Garden Project and together they will be supporting Jamie’s Food Revolution Day, a global day of action happening on Saturday 19th May 2012

This is one day where individuals, communities, families, friends, schools and food producers can come together to stand up for real food. Orford and the surrounding area is such a great place for local food and the School’s Kitchen Garden Project is a pioneering focal point for food education.

The Orford Food Event will be a village event tying in with the Country Market and other local food producers who will be invited to promote and sell their products in a specially expanded Orford Saturday Market.

Any funds raised in Orford will go straight back into the School’s Kitchen Garden Project at Orford Primary and not to the Jamie Oliver Foundation. So this is a local event to raise the local food profile and to support a local cause as well as promoting the global day of action. Please join in this community event and support the school and local food producers. If you are a producer and would like to be involved in the special market please contact [email protected].
