Oye Santana, the UK’s top latin rock tribute, make their debut appearance in Beccles on Saturday 7 October 2017 at the Public Hall.

Universally acclaimed as the world’s best Santana tribute wherever they play, the band perform all your favourites from early hits such as Jin-Go-Lo-Ba, Samba Pa Ti and Black Magic Woman to Carlos Santana’s modern repertoire, including Smooth, Corazón Espinado, Maria Maria and 2016’s Anywhere You Want To Go. As those who’ve already seen the band will confirm, it’s a fiesta-tinged show that has the audience’s feet tapping from the first chink of a tambourine to the get-up-and-boogie finale.

The band is led by Milan ‘Carlos’ Webb, a virtuoso guitarist with a technique and tone to match Santana himself, who not only sounds the part, but looks the part too. But it’s not just about guitar. Hector Gomez (yes, he’s Spanish) and Auriol Kobani ensure the vocals (and the stage act) are up to the mark, while Paul ‘Murph’ Murphy is a powerhouse behind the percussion rig.

“We concentrate on the hits, played the way people know them from the records,” says Milan. “We’re not into long self-indulgent solos, and we don’t think our audiences are either. For our Beccles show, just as everywhere we play, our focus will be on entertaining – we like to see people get up and dance.”

Based in the Thames Valley, the band is making waves across the UK, and is touring extensively to promote its new CD. Recent bookings include shows in the West Country, the Midlands and East Anglia as well as the Home Counties and London. To find our more about the band go to www.oyesantana.com.
