A Wildlife Art Exhibition will be taking place at RSPB Minsmere nature reserve’s Discovery Centre, from Friday, 5th August – Sunday 7th August 2016 – open from 9.00 am-5pm.

Come along and meet award-winning wildlife artist, Paul Dyson, who will be in attendance over the three days at the Discovery Centre to exhibit his latest originals of British wildlife.   The acclaimed artist has won five national awards for his stunning paintings and has recently had his work reproduced for RSPB merchandise.

Visitors will be able to enjoy viewing framed and unframed paintings and prints, many featuring wildlife at RSPB Minsmere nature reserve.  A range of gifts and greeting cards will also be available to purchase.

Entry to the exhibition is free.   (Normal entry fees to RSPB Minsmere nature reserve apply).  A percentage from sales of paintings, prints, cards and gifts, will also go to RSPB Minsmere nature reserve conservation projects.

Paul Dyson, who will be in daily residence at the exhibition, said:  “I am thrilled and honoured to have my paintings reproduced for RSPB merchandise.   I always look forward to visiting RSPB Minsmere nature reserve as it is a very special place, with an abundance of wildlife which has inspired my paintings.   Whenever I visit I always go home full of new ideas.  I do hope that wildlife enthusiasts will come along to meet me and view my latest work.”

ABOUT PAUL DYSON:

Paul Dyson has won five national awards.  All his paintings are inspired by his own personal experiences in the wild and every painting has a story behind them.

He studied Art & Design at Mansfield College of Art, taking up a career in Graphic Design and finally taking the plunge to work full-time on his wildlife & wilderness paintings 18 years ago.  Meticulous observation and research have always been a priority for Paul, taking him to many beautiful and remote areas of the world: from watching tigers in India, camping in the wild to see the dramatic wildlife of East Africa and searching for snow leopards in the Himalaya.  Paul has received considerable public recognition through exhibitions nationally. Paul has over 90 limited-edition prints.  Six of his bird paintings have been chosen by the RSPB for prints and the RNLI has also used the artist’s bird paintings for calendars.  He has also worked on international-selling art books for a top London publisher.  Through his work, Paul is able to contribute towards animal and environmental conservation.

RECENT SUCCESSES:

The RSPB has chosen Paul Dyson’s paintings to be reproduced for a wide range of  merchandise  which can now be purchased at RSPB’s online shop.

TRAVELS IN 2016:

Paul has recently returned from a trip to Dingle in South West Ireland, watching Dolphins, Minke Whales and many amazing coastal birds.

At the end of August, the artist will be off on another adventure, climbing the highest peak in Mongolia to see wildlife and view the amazing landscapes.

TRAVELS PLANNED FOR 2017:

In the early part of 2017, Paul will be travelling to Borneo to see the Orangutans and the country’s incredible variety of wildlife species.
