Rachel Harding is a 20 year old self taught local artist. She has been working seriously on her artwork over the last 2 years throughout studying at Oxford university. Having opted to change courses and a break from study, she has focused exclusively on artwork over the last 6 months.

She creates monochrome pieces working with a range of media pencil, charcoal, dark pen and acrylics. She works over a range of sizes, with pieces from A4 to A1.

Her main work is portraiture, “ I especially love doing child portraiture as children have an innocence of face. They can’t express well with words but you can capture it in their face”. Many of her pieces tell a story, the subject can be seen in a setting, interacting with something or someone.

This will be her first exhibition, showcasing the work she has completed over the years.
