Raveningham Gardens Agapanthus

Raveningham Gardens has a series of special Summer Sunday openings this year.

The gardens will be open every Sunday from July 8 to August 26, 11am to 4pm. The Summer Sundays coincide with Raveningham Gardens Agapanthus.

This is in addition to the main garden opening times, Wednesday to Friday, 11am to 4pm to Friday, August 31, plus August Bank Holiday Monday.

Richard Hobbs, one of the gardening experts on BBC Radio Norfolk’s Garden Party and Raveningham’s garden consultant, will lead Agapanthus Tours in the garden on Friday, July 27 at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 2pm and 3.30pm to celebrate Norfolk Day. The agapanthus varieties are one of Priscilla Bacon’s legacies in the garden; she was a keen agapanthus breeder. See white, blue and dark purple flowers with different sizes and contrasting colours included striped blue and white.

Also enjoy the herbaceous borders, 18th century walled kitchen garden, Victorian glasshouses, orchard, arboretum, herb garden, contemporary sculptures, 14th century church and views across the lake established at the turn of the Millennium. Tea Room open serving soup, light refreshments, home made cakes and drinks.
