Dentill 2013 – All Ready to Plough

The final preparations are being made for the fourth Dentill to be held in Denton near Harleston on Sunday September 29th 2013. Last held in 2011, the event always attracts large crowds.

The very successful formula developed in previous years will be repeated. There will be displays of a wide range of vintage farming and other equipment. Some of these will be seen at work – ploughing, threshing corn, sawing timber etc. Other attractions will include an exhibition of stationary engines, vintage cars and a flying display.

The event is designed to please all age groups with lots of activities for children, sales stalls and a range of refreshment facilities. Denton’s well-known locally produced cyder will be on sale. The 2011 event broke all previous records with more than 800 people attending. Over 60 tractors of various ages were on display and more than £4,000 was raised for charity.

This year’s Dentill will be held, by kind permission of Mr Malcolm Skinner, at Glebe Farm, Denton on Sunday, 29th September from 10 am to 5 pm.
