NEWS FROM THE MNR :-

MNR is pleased to announce that Class 37 locomotive No. 37219, named “Shirley Ann Smith“, is diagrammed to take a full role in the Mixed Traffic Gala to be held on the MNR, between Friday 18th and Sunday 20th February.

Other locomotives are 20069, 31438, 47580 and 50019. The 101 DMU will be hauled by various locomotives and a full line distance return freight will be run each day with 2 runs diagrammed for Saturday and Sunday. A PDF file timetable, which [currently] supercedes that of the website, is attached.

Saturday 19th will also see an 8.30pm departure from Dereham with a Fish&Chip train. The meal can also be vegetarian or sausage and will be served accompanied by a drink selected from our on train stock. Cost is £14 for adults and £8 for children.

37219 was involved in P-Way activities on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th, photo shows 37219 paused at Hardingham Station, 12th February.
