Join St Elizabeth Hospice for an early morning Rise and Shine walk or run and take in the beautiful surroundings of Fritton Lake near Lowestoft.

It is the charity’s first fundraising event in the area.It takes place on Sunday 16th September 2012 provides something for everyone, whether you want the challenge of a five mile run or walk or a more relaxed two mile walk with the family and even the dog. Runners who really want to exert themselves can do two laps, making it a ten mile run.

Registration for the five mile route starts from 6.30am and for the two mile from 8.30am, but you can still participate if you can’t make the start time. Registration is £10 for all participants, but under 13s are free.

Fritton Lake’s owners will be allowing dogs to join in on this occasion and the routes are wheelchair and pushchair friendly. A children’s trail is also included on the two mile walk. Every participant will receive a medal and dogs will receive a rosette.

Walkers are asked to raise sponsorship for the Hospice, a charity which is investing £2.2m in local care for local people in north Suffolk and south east Norfolk over the next three years. It relies on the generosity of the local community to raise the majority of its running costs and to continue to provide services free of charge.

Online registration is now open or people can sign up by requesting a registration form.
