Royal Norfolk Show

Royal Norfolk Show

Wednesday 28 June & Thursday 29 June, 2017

It’s show time! Come and enjoy the best of Norfolk in just a day (or two!). With 700 trade stands, over 3000 animals and hundreds of attractions there’s something for everyone.

The Royal Norfolk Show is the county’s biggest event of the year. It attracts tens of thousands of visitors from all over the UK. It’s a time to see Norfolk at its best, to network, to do business, to learn about Norfolk’s wonderful landscape and the importance of Food, farming and the Countryside. The celebration of agriculture past, present and future is at the heart of the Show and representation from all walks of county life combine to celebrate all that is great about Norfolk.

Our top themes for 2017 are:

Food, Farming and the Countryside

Come and enjoy top-level showjumping and watch hundreds of champion livestock being judged.   Watch the popular Sheep Show or Sheep Shearing. See today’s hi-tech farm machinery and marvel at the heavy horses and equipment of times gone by.  Take a trip to our own mini farm or be inspired at the Grow it, Cook it, Eat it stage. Get green fingers and visit the Flower and Garden Show where you can meet the experts or visit the craft village to try something new.

Innovation and Enterprise

Come and see some of the exciting research and development underway in Norfolk. Meet growers, farmers and scientists and learn about new technologies and the skills needed for tomorrow’s agriculture. Sample food and drink from more than 70 local producers at the Adnam’s Food and Drink Experience – from cheese to chorizo, whisky to wine, salads to sweets; it’s all produced in Norfolk by some great entrepreneurs.

 Celebrating the Arts

Celebrating the Arts will bring a new dimension to the Royal Norfolk Show.  As a platform for celebration we will bring together a range of organisations and communities engaged in art, music and performing arts. We look forward to welcoming local performing arts groups to perform at The Green. Visit the Show Art Gallery or listen to the Showstoppers ‘choir of a thousand’ who will perform a piece of music specially commissioned for the 2017 Show.

And more…

Marvel at the RAF Falcons display team jumping from the skies and meet the people who support our county every day – including Fire & Rescue, Police and the Armed Forces.

Shop ’til you drop at the hundreds of retail stands – whether it’s a new lawn-mower, a new jacket, a new hat or even something scrummy from our food hall it’s time to come and treat yourself!

Relax over a summer drink, be entertained by some of the county’s top musicians, take in an art show or watch skilled craftsmen at work. And so much more!

There really is something for everyone at this year’s Royal Norfolk Show. We hope to see you there!
