Norwich based artist, Sandra Derry presents her latest work, all inspired by the Norfolk countryside, at Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden from Tuesday, February 12 to Sunday, February 17, open daily 10am to 4pm, with free entry.

Sandra’s love of the countryside comes from being raised on a farm as a child. Her paintings are inspired by the ever-changing scenery, buildings and birds. Even a humble gate can become a picture to treasure.

She is also a children’s author and has illustrated and written two books, Curly Sheep’s Bad Hair Day and Molly Moo the Independent Cow, to introduce young children to the countryside. Both books will be on sale during the Fairhaven Garden exhibition.

Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden is at South Walsham, signposted off A47 at B1140 junction, half way between Norwich and Great Yarmouth.

The garden is open daily all year, 10am to 4pm until the end of February, then 10am to 5pm, and on Wednesdays until 9pm from May to the end of August. Entry charge is adult £6.85, concessions £6.60 and child £3.95 (free entry under 5s and Fairhaven members). Free entry to tearoom, provisions shop, gift shop and plant sales.

There is wheelchair access throughout the garden, including a Sensory Garden and an accessible boat for trips on the broad from April to October (additional charge). Visitors requiring special facilities are advised to telephone in advance, mobility scooters available.

Dogs are welcome on leads; small charge to cover poop scoop.
