The Wymondham-Dereham-North Elmham-County School Line

Each Weekend from Saturday 4th December through to Sunday 19th December, and also on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th December,

SANTA will be travelling between Dereham and Wymondham on his

SANTA SPECIAL train; which will be pulled and heated by one of our

BIG ex-mainline diesel locomotives.

With their Adult Companions alongside, our Elves take all Children under the age of 14 to visit SANTA in his Grotto. SANTA will need to know which gifts they would like at Christmas, and he will also have a suitable present for them. There will be complimentary food and drink, an entertainer and other treats for the youngsters.

Trains depart from both ends of our running line i.e.
Dereham & Wymondham Abbey stations,
with the round trip taking between 1½ & 2 hours.


Everything happens on board the train.


Refreshments are served at your allocated seats by our trolley dollies.


Adults are given a mince pie and glass of either sherry or orange juice,
whilst children have a fruit drink and chocolate biscuit.


Bubbly Bingo and his friends are there to entertain you as we travel through the beautiful rural Norfolk countryside.


Our elves collect the children and adults to go and see Santa in his Grotto.


Santa likes to give the children a present to keep them happy
until he visits on Christmas Eve.


There are other treats to make it a really happy occasion.


Booking is essential.


The cost of the trip is £10 for Adults and Children;
however babies under 1 year old travel for £3.50, but they do not have a seat.
