Community Conservation Day at the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary

Special day for all countryside lovers with help from lots of local wildlife, conservation and nature groups!
2 acre landscaped site with 80+ resident owls and other birds of prey, accommodated on weatherings and in spacious naturalistic aviaries.
Pretty Woodland Walk with wildlife ponds, bug hotels, ladybird houses and wheelchair accessible bird hide. Spot the shy red squirrels and enjoy the cheeky meerkat family.
Three exciting flying displays daily, with birds flying free – and close! – with falconer’s commentary and BSL signing interpreter.
Two meerkat feeding sessions daily with BSL signing interpreter.
Meet the Suffolk Punch horse, learn about bats, hold a hedgehog, watch the spinners, have a go at weaving, taste delicious orchard fruits and investigate compost!!
S.O.S. Safari Trail with free gift for every child.
Sensory garden with bee and butterfly friendly perfumed borders. Picnics welcome – wheelchair accommodating tables available.
Braille and touch screen information boards and QR code audio information.
Level, wheelchair and buggy friendly tarmac paths throughout the site.
New play area with wheelchair accessible equipment and tumble safe surface.
New indoor interactive Discovery Centre.
