Monday 14 April 2014 sees the release of a new city centre app, ‘Discover Norwich’, available for free download on both Android and iOS.

Discover Norwich is a new and exciting initiative from the Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) and is packed full of useful information for anyone coming to Norwich, whether they are visiting for the first time or already live and work in this fine city.

The new app helps users get the most out of the city with fantastic features at the touch of a button including an interactive Norwich map, detailed event listings and directories by interest such as shops, restaurants, bars and accommodation, plus many others.

To celebrate the launch of Discover Norwich, a flash mob will spring to life on Gentleman’s Walk on Wednesday 16 April at 1pm followed by a free Easter egg giveaway (subject to availability). The Discover Norwich team will be clearly visible around the city handing out over 3000 Easter eggs to those who can show that they have downloaded the Discover Norwich app on to their mobile devices.

Stefan Gurney, Executive Director of Norwich BID said, “The Discover Norwich app is an exciting new initiative aimed at all city users; the event listings will appeal to those who live and work in the city whilst the interactive map and business listings will be useful to visitors.”
