Cardy and Coke for Country Music Lovers
Wes and Jan, Cardy and Coke

Country Music duo, Cardy and Coke, will be performing at Beccles Public Hall on Saturday 24th October 2015 for a special evening so all country music fans in this area will be able to dance to one of the finest duos in East Anglia.

Wes Cardy and Jan Mellon have been singing together as Cardy and Coke since December 1986. A supporting act to many famous names including Gerry and The Pacemakers, Marty Wilde, The Bachelors, Raymond Froggett, Charlie Landsborough, the sound of Cardy and Coke has become unique and distinctive over the years with individual backings enhanced by the sound of Jan’s mandolin plus strong vocals and harmonies.

“We’ve been singing together since 1986 and had some success here in the UK with our song writing – Daniel O’Donnell, Ken Dodd, Roger Whittaker and many more have recorded Special Absent Friends”Wes Cardy.

“Cardy & Coke had its origins under the East Anglian skies of our locality. However as their sell out successful show at Sudbury’s Quay Theatre proved, this now nationally-known Country music duo have much more to offer. Both singers are also songwriters. Wes’ new one, Sergeant Ford, is breathtaking. Accompanying himself on guitar and with Jan’s most delicate mandolin playing weaving its magic, his voice matched the haunting narrative superbly. The audience loved the original, romantic, rock ‘n’ roll and sing-along numbers in a varied programme. It responded hugely to the trademark, charismatic, unscripted humorous banter which began as soon as they walked on stage…Long may they, their humour as well as their music continue!” Pat Rudkins, Halstead Gazette.

Tickets are £10 and £9 for Concessions. Doors open at 7.30pm for Cardy & Coke to start at 8pm till late. Available online @ www.becclespublichall.com or from the Box Office, open Mon – Sat, 10am – 3pm or by phone: 01502 770060.
