Formed in 2009 by undergraduates at the Royal College of Music, the Park Quartet has already performed at venues such as the Wigmore Hall, Queen’s Gate Terrace, and for the EU Society’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. They present a fresh, light-hearted Haydn Quartet, the ‘American’ Quartet by Dvorák, and the 5th Quartet by the influential but rarely heard Elizabeth Maconchy, one of Vaughan Williams’ most brilliant pupils.
