As the year gets underway, there’s a real feeling of forward motion here at Suffolk Artlink.
As well as welcoming a new team member to the organisation, ‘Make, Do & Friends’ headed for the first time to the rural village of Nedging with Norton for a series of five creative get-togethers for older people. And as we develop new plans for our arts programme for adults with learning disabilities, we pause to celebrate all that our students have achieved so far at their very first book launch – and you’re all invited.
We hope to see you there!

It’s goodbye, then hello, from Lowestoft Folk
This month heralds an end, and a beginning, for Lowestoft Folk.
We had a wonderful 12 weeks bringing residents at Hildesley Court Residential Housing unit together with pupils from nearby Pakefield Primary School to explore Lowestoft’s folk heritage. We’ll be celebrating an interesting and fun filled few months at a special event. Read more about Lowestoft Folk
Meet Siobhan
This month we’re joined by experienced arts project manager, Siobhan Johnson who joins us from SeaChange Arts in Great Yarmouth. She takes to the helm of Clown Round, our longest running project at ten years old. With Siobhan on the team, we’re confident that Drs Daydream, Misschief, Buffle and Fidget are in good hands! Meet the artist – Jemma Watts
Professional photographer Jemma Watts made her debut at our Around the Table project last year – and what a talented lady! Having previously worked for Jamie Magazine, Real Homes and House Beautiful she brought a whole new angle to our project exploring food, creativity and culture. And who doesn’t want a loaf of bread with a photo of their face on it??! Read more about Jemma.
A huge thank you to Rhiannon Grimsey who raised a fantastic £140 for Suffolk Artlink after our fabulous Clown Doctors made her baby niece smile during a long stay at Ipswich Hospital.
