As the evenings get that little bit lighter, here at Suffolk Artlink we’re beginning to feel buds of new growth unfurling.
In addition to a trip to the House of Commons to hear the case for cultural learning, we’re excited to be developing a new intergenerational project in Lowestoft alongside Suffolk Museums and in partnership with local schools and care homes. We’re looking forward to seeing what blooms from our efforts later in the year and in the meantime, wish you a great month ahead.

New Creative Company arts workshops for family carers in Stowmarket
We’ve launched four new Creative Company sessions for people who care for an adult family member in and around Stowmarket.
Designed to offer adult family carers a chance to take part in a bit of relaxing and sociable fun, the next session is on Thursday 16th February. Read more.
New report highlights the importance of cultural learning
Suffolk Artlink Co-director, Alex Casey, found herself at the House of Commons for the launch of the Cultural Learning Alliance commissioned Imagine Nationreport highlighting the value of cultural learning for young people.
Rubbing shoulders with Darcey Bussell and Grayson Perry, Alex heard the report’s key findings. Read more.
Clown Doctors spotted in action!
Ever wondered what our clown doctors get up to on their rounds? Thanks to Aimee May for sharing with us a video of Dr Christobell Mischief bringing a smile to her daughter’s face after a spot of surgery at Colchester General Hospital.

Meet the artist – Chris Draude
This month we’d like to introduce you to the originator of our ever popular Clown Round project. Often seen conducting her rounds in hospital children’s wards, Chris loves nothing more than to bring a bit of creativity infused joy to young patients and their families in Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex.
