Deepdale Spring Market and Deepdale Hygge

As the snow melts Spring is in sight, which must mean Deepdale Spring Market and Deepdale Hygge are just around the corner.  In fact, the events are in 2 weeks’ time, Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th March, when Dalegate Market and Deepdale Backpackers & Camping celebrate the start of Spring on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast.

This year Dalegate Market will welcome more than 50 Norfolk artisans and producers, who will join the permanent shops and café of Dalegate Market for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Stalls will be in two large marquees (the Dalegate Tent and the Orchard Tent), in the beach hut pop up shops and there will be various outside stalls around the site.

The Spring Market is a great opportunity to not only buy wonderful ‘not on the high street’ items, but to chat with the artisans and discover more about their inspiration and processes.  Both Westfield Forge and Richard Rood will be demonstrating by the Orchard Tent.  You’ll find homewares, gifts, beers, wines, very tasty food, toys, art, jewellery, pottery, sweets and more …

The Deepdale Spring Market is open from 10am to 5pm on Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th March.  Entrance is FREE and there is plenty of FREE Car Parking on two grass fields and the Dalegate Market car park, just follow the signs.

The full list of artisans and producers can be found on the website: www.deepdalespringmarket.co.uk

While Dalegate Market concentrates on the artisans of this wonderful county, Deepdale Backpackers & Camping next door will be celebrating the countryside, coast and music of the county with their Deepdale Hygge.

The weekend begins on Friday with the launch of Marina Florance’s new album, and a ceilidh (barn dance) with Compass Moon.  On Saturday the Deepdale crew and friends will be running activities – walk, cycle, run, Nordic walk, paddle board.

When everyone’s had some fresh air or a relaxing morning, the music begins and we have a great line-up including The Tildens, Matt Watson, Lisa Redford, the Sheringham Shantymen, Falling From Trees and Mammal Not Fish.

There will be storytelling sessions, and you can explore the wonders of the solar system with our friends from King’s Lynn & District Astronomy Society.  Sunday morning we finish the weekend with a nature scavenger hunt around Deepdale Farm.

Tickets cost £15 per adult and £7.50 per child plus accommodation.  There are also some Friday evening tickets, and some Saturday day tickets.  Find out more and buy tickets online:www.deepdalehygge.co.uk

Come and join us in Burnham Deepdale to welcome in Spring.
