The Language of Love – Sound Underground at The Undercroft below Norwich War Memorial

Norwich 20 Group (N20G) is staging an evening fundraising event, The Language of Love – Sound Underground, featuring music and poetry in The Undercroft below Norwich War Memorial on Friday, June 26 from 7pm to 9pm.

The event is free to attend, with a retiring collection for The Norwich Centre www.norwichcentre.org and Norfolk based charity Nepal in Need http://nepalinneed.org.

The event complements the Norwich 20 Group Back Underground exhibition which runs at The Undercroft until Saturday, June 27, open daily 12noon to 5pm, free entry, www.norwich20group.co.uk .

The Language of Love will feature spoken word performances on the theme of the language of love, including works from Charlotte Carter, Hilary Mellon, Roy Ballard, and Bill Jervis, who will read his poem The Hand, written about the late David Holgate’s sculpture of Mother Julian at Norwich Cathedral.

There will also be pieces arranged for the flute from Sophie Kennish, and acoustic guitar-accompanied works by Danny Whitehouse.
