A butcher’s daughter is a gifted piano player, but fails her audition for the Conservatory, put off by the president of the jury. Ten years on she becomes a friend and ‘page turner’ for the former juror and patiently waits for her revenge.
Excellent performances by Deborah François as the frustrated pianist, and Catherine Frot as the juror, combined with a strong plot, make this a taut psychological thriller with a flavour of vintage Chabrol.
