Today’s the day – Will Norwich City Council pass our plans & let us build the City’s first backpackers hostel?

Sometime after 12noon today, the Norwich City Council planning committee will decide whether Norwich Backpackers can be built on the site of the derelict Ferry Boat Inn, King Street, Norwich.
“We really hope the City will take this opportunity and pass our plans. We’ve had so much support from so many individuals and groups. They’re excited about the prospect of something finally happening on the Ferry Boat site and also the chance for Norwich to welcome a new tourism market, which all other historical cities in the UK already cater for.” said Jason Borthwick, part of the family team hoping to develop the site.

The team behind the award winning eco-friendly Deepdale Backpackers & Camping, hope to create a cultural hostel, reinvigorating the Ferry Boat site.

Good luck wishes have been posted by many supporters on Facebook (www.facebook.com/Norwich.Backpackers) and Twitter (@NorwichBackpack)
