With Deepdale Christmas Market opening its doors to the public at 12noon on Friday 2nd December, here are our top ten reasons for visiting one of the East Anglia’s best festive markets.

Deepdale Christmas Market is an incredible gathering of local producers and artisans.

No need to clear out your wallet before you set foot amongst the stalls, as entry is free.  Great value however long your visit to Deepdale Christmas Market lasts.

  1. FREE Car Parking

Our car parking team and Scouts will help you find a place in the farm yard, and there is an overflow car park on Dalegate Lane.

  1. Amazing Christmas Hamper Competition

Everyone who attends is welcome to enter the amazing Christmas Hamper Competition.  Most of the artisans and producers have donated lovely items, which we sort into four wonderful hampers.  All you need to do to enter is fill out a slip at the market.

  1. Entertainment All Weekend

Jason and Chris, with the wonderful support of Claire Lawrence Music School, have put together a live music programme.  You’ll find bands playing in four places around the site, the Dalegate Stage, Orchard Stage, Backpackers Stage and St Mary’s Church.

  1. Delicious Food and Drink

Why not combine your Christmas shopping and live music enjoyment with some very very tasty food.  Deepdale Café is joined by The Duck Truck, Hushwings Cafe, Proper Pizzas, Pie Central, Hedgerow Cordials, Christophe’s Crepes and The Travelling Bluebird.  You can also enjoy hot drinks in aid of Crisis in the Backpackers Courtyard and in St Mary’s Church.

A visit to the Deepdale Christmas Market is the perfect excuse to the visit this beautiful part of the world.  Cross off most of the items on your Christmas shopping list, enjoy some great food, then take a walk on one of the great beaches.

We never keep the market exactly the same each year, so you haven’t seen it all before even if you’ve been annually.  This year there is a great mix of old favourites and new additions.  There’s also a whole new area of the market in the Brick Barn at Deepdale Backpackers & Camping, with another 17 stalls and a new entertainment stage.
