Moving Arts East and Cut Dance presents:

Unheard Voices, Unseen Moves

Open Workshop with Louise Katerega and Lisa Simpson

Sunday 22nd February
at The Cut Arts Centre, Halesworth
12 – 4pm

This workshop will explore ways of opening up dance for adults and children with profound physical disabilities.

During the workshop we will investigate ways in which artists working in the community can allow everybody’s creative voice to be heard.

There will be a demonstration of The Simpson Board, which is a simple
(and inexpensive) tool that allows people with severe physical
disabilities to make their own choreography.

Part of the day will be an opportunity to chat about our work, discuss ways of delivering successful integrated workshops, swap ideas and offer mutual support.

There will also be an opportunity to look at one another’s work, so bring any dvd’s along!

Louise Katerega is Creative Director of Foot in Hand and a trustee of The Foundation for Community Dance.
