Edward-VII-Napkin

Rare Royal Ephemera
Another rare survivor of Norwich history will be at the Fleamarket on Saturday.   A paper napkin detailing the visit of King Edward VII to Norwich on October 25th 1909 is for sale from The Vintage Paper Girls, specialist ephemera dealers who are regular stallholders.   The King’s route started at St. Andrew’s Hall for a civic greeting, followed by a roundabout tour through Norwich.   The napkins were given out with the route printed on them to enable as many people as possible to see the King. The Vintage Paper Girls say “It is remarkable that such a fragile throwaway item has survived all this time.  It is in very good condition and a tangible connection with life in Norwich yet untainted by World War I.”
