farm wild lifeHow RSPB’s Farmwildlife website is helping farmers to help wildlife, and find out what it can do for you…

RSPB’s Farmwildlife website at www.farmwildlife.info was set up last year to inform farmers and advisors about wildlife conservation. There are farmer case studies, links to all relevant websites and a discussion forum to ask questions and post new ideas. The website now attracts between 200 and 300 visitors a day.

Do you have habitat features that you are particularly proud of that would make a good case study?

We are looking for case studies of good management for wildlife. If you have a particular habitat where you have discovered a novel form of management which improves it for wildlife, makes it easier to manage within your farming system, or have found a management solution to overcome a problem then we would like to hear from you. It could relate to a specific agri-environment scheme option, management of your set-aside or a novel approach to everyday farm management.

If you have such a story to tell us, then you could either post your ideas on the discussion forum on www.farmwildlife.info directly or contact

Gethin Davies [email protected] or telephone 01597 827416 to discuss developing it as a case study for the website.
