Earth Day

Marina Theatre, Lowestoft – Dad’s Army (until 26th April)
Exclusive East Anglian Date

Don’t Panic! They’re back! A hilarious treat for the whole family with the welcome return of one of the most popular and revered British comedies of all time, Dad’s Army. The original BBC TV series first screened in 1968 soon became a comedy classic, running for nearly ten years and capturing the hearts of millions with its gentle, timeless humour and bulldog spirit.

Lovingly recreated for the stage, this lavish new production with a star-studded cast, including Leslie Grantham (Dirty Den, EastEnders), breathes new life into the misadventures of our Home Guard platoon in their fictional South Coast town of Walmington-on-Sea. This production will offer a unique opportunity to see the lost episodes, after the originals were erased by the BBC. So unless you saw them back in 1969 now’s your chance.

Trinity Methodist Church – Lowestoft Choral Society
Open Rehearsal – 7.30 – 9.30 pm
During April 2008, the Society will be rehearsing for its concert to be given on May 17 2008. It will open one of its rehearsals to members of the public who can listen and/or join in. There will be an opportunity for questions at the end. It is hoped that those who attend will gain an insight into the preparation for the performance of a big choral work and will enjoy the experience. Possibly, some might be inspired to join the choir, although that is not the main objective.

Marina Theatre
Jimmy Carr (Repeat Offender)

Jimmy Carr is one of the biggest faces in comedy. Literally – he’s got one of the biggest faces. Fresh from presenting the 5th series of 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), writing his first book (The Naked Jape: co-written by Lucy Greeves & out in paperback 27 September 2007), and recording his 3rd DVD (Comedian: released November 2007), British Comedy Award winner Jimmy Carr is back on the road doing what he does best with a brand new show: Repeat Offender.

Not suitable for the easily offended. In fact not even a show for people that are quite difficult to offend. Essentially this is a show for people without a moral compass. Book early to avoid disappointment (or alternatively lower your expectations).

All Tickets: £19.50
Starts: 7.30pm

Box Office: 01502 573318 or 01502 538179
