Little Vintage Lover Fair
This regular visitor to Dragon Hall features around 25 quality stallholders selling the best in vintage clothing textiles and accessories. New for 2013 is a mini cinema area showing fashion footage from the 1940s onwards from the British Pathé archive. Great for inspiration on how to perfect the vintage look. DJ Jazzlord provides the music.

Dragon Hall re opens to visitors
The magnificent medieval trading hall, home to 1,000 years of history, opens to visitors for the new season. There are guided tours of the building led by expert volunteer guides (included in normal admission prices) at 2pm each Tuesday and Thursday and monthly on Sundays.
Open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 10am-4pm, Sundays 12noon-4pm.

Dragon Hall Easter Egg Explorers
Mysterious eggs have been found at Dragon Hall!
Young visitors can pick up their Sherlock Holmes style detective costume and a basket full of detective tools to help find these mysterious eggs and crack the code of their arrival at Dragon Hall. Everyone who unravels the mystery will receive a very tasty reward!
Included in normal admission.

Contemporary Knitting and Crochet Course: Beginners
This course will introduce you to the rich tradition of hand knitting and crochet, with a contemporary approach. Using simple techniques such as shaping, recycling and felting, you will be guided through the basics by talented knitter, Sue Maton, and discover how to apply this knowledge innovatively and confidently to produce exciting objects, including ornaments and accessories.
Cost: £100 (8 week course)

Saffron Dyeing Workshop
Nothing else quite matches the rich yellow colour of saffron – likened to pure sunshine or even gold. Come along and create your own beautiful saffron-dyed silk scarf to take home, learn about saffron’s history and uses and enjoy a delicious saffron cream tea.
Sally Francis of Norfolk Saffron and Aviva Leigh of Slowstuff Studio will lead the workshop, using saffron grown in Burnham Norton, North Norfolk.

Eastern Angles Theatre Company presents The Long Life and Great Good Fortune of John Clare.
A story that explores the facts and myths about the life and health of England’s most loved ‘peasant poet’ John Clare by one of the east’s most well-regarded theatre companies.

Dragon Hall’s Norfolk Beer Festival
Dragon Hall’s annual beer festival celebrates the best of Norfolk ales produced by the county’s many independent brewers. It is gaining renown as one of the friendliest beer festivals in the UK, thanks to the amiable volunteers manning the bars, good music, tasty food and the beautiful historic surroundings.
This year’s festival is sponsored by the Fat Cat Brewery and supported by Norwich CAMRA and Tipples Brewery.
Session times: Friday 6-11pm, Saturday 12-3.30pm and 6-11pm, Sunday 12-3.30pm.
Admission: Lunchtimes £5 (£4 CAMRA members), Evenings £6 (£5 CAMRA members), includes souvenir glass and £2 of starter beer tokens.

Weaving Workshop: Textile Art with a Spring Theme
Create a unique piece of work with weaver June Croll by using thread wrapping, needle weaving and knotting techniques. Working on wooden or card bases, make richly textured 3D work, or design a colour-blended landscape which can then be stitched or embellished.

Come and spend an enjoyable day discovering the fascination of feltmaking with textile artist, Sue Scheller. Use colourful merino wool fibres to create your own individual piece of work with the traditional wet hands-on method. Museums at Night
In the Company of the Curious: Steampunk @Dragon Hall
A magical evening that will transform Dragon Hall into a wondrous Steampunk world of mystery and delight. This world is a distorted and imagined alternative history where Victoriana meets sci-fi. For your delectation and instruction we present musical entertainment, dancing, poetry, circus and curiosity performance, tea, crumpets and the green fairy!

Let your imagination, and your fingers, run wild in this creative workshop exploring the function and fantasy of free form crochet. The traditions of this craft have been re-invented and crochet is now hyperbolic and hyper stylish, so come and get carried away. Some knowledge of crochet techniques would be helpful, although the basics will be covered in the workshop. Led by Sue Maton.

Weaving with a Difference Workshop
Using found objects as a starting point, items such as driftwood, willow, metal shapes, old picture frames, card etc can all be used as weaving frames for creating shaped or 3D work. They can even be left in place as part of the finished work. Experiment with inspirational weaver June Croll.

Dragon Hall’s Medieval Christmas Market
The Dragon Hall Medieval Christmas Market marks the start of the festive season.
The building is sumptuously decorated for Christmas and traders from near and far come to sell their handcrafted, original and high quality wares. Mulled wine, traditional ales, seasonal food and entertainment help make this one of the most atmospheric and enjoyable Christmas events in Norfolk.
