Summer Fun – Wildlife Fun & Games – 21st July– 5th September 2012

Ever wondered if you’re as strong as an ant or as athletic as a hare?

Find out this summer at the Summer Fun – Wildlife Fun & Games at Pensthorpe Wildlife & Gardens near Fakenham in Norfolk, between 21st July and 5th September 2012.

Daily from 10am to 5pm, this is a marathon way to make the most of the school holidays! Challenge the family with a host of nature-themed games to find out who will win gold and take part in a self-guided trail with lots of hands-on activities to bring you closer to nature.

The trail includes 18 different adventurous activities from pond dipping, under cover fun in the Summer Marquee, mini tractor rides and croquet to different agility and skill tasks such as running, climbing and balancing.

Match up to the best sportsmen the animal kingdom has to offer and put your skill, speed, knowledge and creativity to the test. Prizes are available for those who complete the trail and answer all questions correctly.

Each activity relates to a sport and is connected to the bugs and beasts which can be found in the UK and throughout the majority of the Pensthorpe Reserve.

Kirsty Willingham, Events Manager at Pensthorpe Wildlife & Gardens, comments: “This summer lots of us will be inspired to put our speed, skill and agility to the test and what better way than against some of nature’s giants? Our fun and educational event is a chance to get closer to nature in the great outdoors, plus there will be the usual activity including den building, a stamper trail and the daily bird feeds at 4pm”.

Entry to the Wildlife Games is included in the regular Pensthorpe entrance price which is £6.25 for children, £8.00 for seniors and £9.75 for adults. Alternatively it’s FREE for Pensthorpe Season Card holders and under 4’s.
