YOUNG MUSICIANS’ CONCERT

This event features MATTHEW FROST(Trumpet) FINLAY McEWEN (Saxophone) GEORGE ROLLS (Baritone) with DUNCAN BARLOW (Piano).

Matthew, Finlay and George were winners of the 2013 Norfolk Young Musician Competition.

Also featured is LEONA PANG (Piano) who is the Winner of the Norfolk Youth Music Trust’s 2013-14 UEA Scholarship to the most promising third-year student of the Music School at the University of East Anglia.

Matthew, Finlay and George were winners of the 2013 Norfolk Young Musician Competition, and Leona is the Winner of the Norfolk Youth Music Trust’s 2013-14 UEA Scholarship awarded to the most promising third-year student of the Music School at the University of East Anglia.

Their programme features works by de Abreu, Bach, Balakirev, Binge, Beethoven, Böehme, Brahms, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Owen, Peeters, Quate, Rahkmaninov, Rogers & Hammerstein II, Schubert,  Vaughan Williams and Woods.

Admission is by programme, price £6.00 (Under 18s, £3.00) and includes a copy of the programme and post-concert light refreshments. (No increase on 2012 prices!)

In addition to the stairs, there is a lift available to the Music Room. Disabled patrons should enter the building using the ground floor loading bay in Fishergate.

The trustees will also welcome the Lord Mayor & Lady Mayoress of Norwich (Councillor Keith Driver & Mrs Linden Driver) and the Sheriff of Norwich and His Lady (Mr Graham Creelman & Mrs Vivica Parsons) to this event.

Our highly-talented Norfolk Young Musicians look forward to welcoming you to this afternoon of music-making.

After 36 years, this is also the two hundredth and sixty-sixth and last public production of this series of young Norfolk musicians’ concerts.
