Aylsham Nursery to raise funds for local charities at sixth
Annual Garden Show 2016
Woodgate Nursery, Aylsham is delighted to announce its popular annual Garden Show is back this June in aid of the Liz Jones Memorial Trust which supports young children around the Aylsham area through various projects and donations will be made to other local charities too.
The free to attend garden show will take place on June 18th and 19th between 10am – 4.30pm and will aim to build on the success of last year’s event which welcomed more than 3,000 people and raised £1742.55 for The Liz Jones Memorial Trust.
Packed full of inspiration for the garden, the annual show is a great day out for everyone including budding young gardeners who can have their face painted, compete in a fun treasure hunt and a raffle to win a wheelbarrow with over £300 worth of garden goodies (including the wheel barrow).
Enjoy plenty of craft stands and be truly inspired by our garden designers, including Ian Cooper – IFC landscapes and Ace of Spades Garden Design.
Inspired by the Royal Horticulture Society’s (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show, local garden designers will also be battling for visitors votes to be crowned the winner of the best garden design.
Peter Purdy, founder of Woodgate Nursery, comments ‘The Garden Show is a fantastic opportunity for gardening enthusiasts across Norfolk to come together, share tips with local people and businesses, and raise funds for a worthwhile, local charity.’
Purdy’s Tea Room will be serving a delicious range of homemade cakes, light lunches, ice creams, tea, coffee and soft drinks throughout the weekend.
A host of Norfolk guest experts and demonstrators will be attending this year’s garden show including Green Thumb Lawn Care, Home Grown Revolutions, Rutland Willows, Drew Charleton Willow, Yew Turn, Wavy Days, Colin Thompson, Avril Bird and Aylsham Flower Club.
Entry is free but donations to the Liz Jones Memorial Trust are welcome.
