Free Youth Consultation Event

The Community Forum is hosting an interactive consultation event on
Tuesday 6th July 2010 between 5pm – 8pm
at
The Kirkley Centre in London Road South, Lowestoft.

The evening will be about consulting with young people aged 12-19 years across Waveney.

It will aim to improve consultation, engagement and delivery involvement of Young People in projects across Waveney.

This will be aimed at Parish Councils, village hall committees, and voluntary and community organisations that want help with consulting with young people. The event will involve young people and the new Youth Council.

Topics to be covered include:

1 – Why it is important to engage with Young People.

2 – How to engage with Young People, techniques of consultation and engagement, including use of tools and how to give feedback (Social Networking, texts etc).

3 – A series of case studies to talk about how they involve Young People, the issues and how they were overcome.
