There’s a splendid line-up of events coming soon at the Beccles Public Hall following the much-needed stage renovation work.
“We invite you to join us for September events when we can all celebrate our local community hall with a renewed stage. We are so thrilled at the response from you the public in respect of the sponsor a square appeal but there’s still time to help if you can”! said Hall Manager, Neil Dunnell.
Here’s just some the September events including the fine local band, John Ward and friends with Ian Sainsbury as guest support.
Help us celebrate the new stage when we invite you to Last Night of the Proms live @ the Hall via a BBC big screen screening on Saturday 10 September. Bar open, flags galore and it’s free – see you there”! continued Neil.
John Ward brings his band to play an eclectic mix of music ranging from folk rock, acoustic pop, blues and jazz influenced original and popular songs to be played on guitars, double bass, mandolin, cajon, whistle and bodhran, harmonica and a rich vocal harmony from his new album, Sargasso. Join John and friends at the Beccles Public Hall on Sunday 11th September at 7.30pm.
“Watch out for Bingo on the 17th, Film @ the Hall on the 22nd, when we are delighted to screen the feel-good Eddie the Eagle at 2pm followed in the evening by Sing-A-Long Grease. After the success and obvious enjoyment of the audience of Sing-A-Long Sound of Music, we decided to continue with the fun for everyone.
The relaunched Soul Night, Move On Up is set for 24th when we look forward to welcoming new-to-the-Hall DJs, Garry Emms and Alan Monsey. Followed swiftly the next day with the lovely Jacqui Dankworth and her husband, Charlie Wood.
To finish September on a high, we have the fabulous Paul Anthony who will be performing his magic Pop up Bowie. See you there..” finished Neil.
