Community Music East’s band skills courses are aimed at young people aged 13 to 18 who are learning instruments or voice and are on offer in Norwich, Great Yarmouth and North Walsham.

Sessions will cover song writing, stage craft and instrument tuition, as well as information on how to promote your band and prepare for gigs. Young people can sign up as individuals or whole bands, and all genres are welcome.

There is an opportunity for participants to perform on the Young People’s Stage at Norwich Sound & Vision in October, alongside other young acts who have been attending CME courses throughout the year.

Clara Wiseman from CME said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for budding musicians to meet other like-minded young people and work on their band skills and song writing with professional music tutors. There’s no excuse to be bored this holidays!”

The project is supported by Youth Music and using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England
