There’s a busy weekend of contrasting entertainment coming up soon at the Beccles Public Hall starting on Saturday 25th October 2014 with the 

Mammoth Clothes Sale at 10am to Noon and it’s free entry.

The sale of good second-hand clothes is supported by Simone of Cloves Dress Agency, Beccles and we thank her very much for this invaluable help with fundraising for the Public Hall.

On the evening of Saturday 25th at 8pm to 11pm, it’s a welcome return to the talented Mark Anthony and fellow accomplished musicians,  the Funky Stuff Band.

Entry is just £8.50 for a fabulous evening’s entertainment – a blend of Soul, Motown and Funky music all live at the Hall and calling out to dancers! Special guest, Henry Rowe, winner of Beccles Youths’ Got Talent, 2013, will be treating us all to his incredible Michael Jackson dance medley. Don’t miss!!

The next day on Sunday 26th at 2pm, we are screening the delightful film Ladies in Lavender starring Judi Dench and Maggie Smith who play sisters, Ursula and Janet.

The story is set in 1936 and they discover a stranger washed up on the beach – a handsome young man, who they nurse back to health but find themselves competing for his attention. Cert 12A and 104 minutes, tickets cost £5 and £4 for concessions.

More news to follow about the Halloween Ball – “one hell of a party” which is planned for Halloween Night on Friday 31st October from 7pm to 11pm. Tickets are just £10 for this spooky evening of fun and frivolity whilst fundraising for the Hall and Lido!
