Mere Players will be performing ‘Cindy-Ella’ –  the traditional Cinderella story but set in 1960’s America.

All the usual panto ingredients are there: The cruel cross-dressing Ugly sisters, the Good Fairy, the Demon King, the magic mice, audience participation and a shed load of bad jokes, but all dressed up in jeans and circle skirts and pretending to be Grease. Also, there’s a brilliant score packed with pastiche 60’s style numbers written especially for the show.

This is a pantomime that’s almost a musical. It’s a high energy, high camp romp through two genres that are more closely related than you might think and, most importantly, good fun!
