Acclaimed poet and performer Patience Agbabi presents an inspired remix of all the stories of Chaucer’s Middle-English masterwork in her new poetry book, Telling Tales (Canongate, 2014). From the Miller’s Tale to the Wife of Bath’s, this boisterous and lyrical collection of tales gives one ofBritain’s most significant works of poetry thrilling new life.
Telling Tales is described by Jeanette Winterson as a “pilgrimage of punks, badasses, broken hearts, beat poets, silver-tongued fixers, town criers, beauties, sinners… a poem on wheels”.
Telling Tales national tour is produced by Renaissance One.
