One of the nation’s favourite children’s novels is brought to life with a lively (and child friendly) modern twist.
This laugh a minute show is jam-packed with shanties, cheering, booing, puppets, lots of colourful costumes and slapstick comedy, Jim Hawkins, Old Ben Gunn, Billy Bones, Sneaky Beaky the pirate’s parrot, mythical creatures and of course Long John Silver.

Monty Alexander

The jazz pianist brings his bright Caribbean influences to a repertoire that spans a broad range of jazz and Jamaican musical expressions.

Simon Schama

Historian, art critic, journalist and writer, Simon Schama has presented numerous TV documentaries. Pasadena Roof Orchestra

The UK’s finest dance band will be celebrating 50 years in 2019.
Duncan Galloway and his musical comrades perform an impressive programme of music from the roaring 1920s and elegant 1930s, including works by Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, plus some classic tunes from Louis Armstrong, and sumptuous arrangements from the likes of Duke Ellington. Magnum, who regularly breached the Top 40 of both the singles and album charts in the Eighties and early Nineties, came together in the Midlands in the mid-Seventies and toured relentlessly with the likes of Def Leppard, Blue Oyster Cult and Judas Priest.
1982’s ‘Chase The Dragon’ album was the first to go Top 20, but it was 1988’s ‘Wings Of Heaven’ LP which really broke the band into the mainstream, going gold, breaching the top 5 of the UK chart and spawning three top 30 singles –‘Days Of No Trust’, Start Talkin’ Love’ and ‘It Must Have Been Love’.

Bury Bach Choir: Dido and Aeneas

Joined by Suffolk Baroque Players for Purcell’s only opera, Dido and Aeneas. This enchanting work, which has touched the hearts of generations of listeners, recounts the love of Dido, Queen of Carthage, for the Trojan hero Aeneas, and her despair when he abandons her.
To set the scene for this evening of seventeenth century English music, the concert opens with anthems by Purcell and Blow.

Twisting The Night Away

Featuring the powerhouse vocals of Si Cranstoun and his band’s blend of Doo Wop, Soul and rocking Rhythm & Blues, Twisting The Night Away is a toe-tapping show driven by retro dance rhythms. Si’s distinctive tenor vocals, that echo Jackie Wilson and Sam Cooke, coupled with his ability to write songs that could have been hits in the fifties, has made this show a hit at Swing and Blues Festivals in the UK and Europe.
