The Beccles Carnival weekend is fastly approaching us Beccles carnival procession and family fun weekend takes place this year on Saturday the 29th to Sunday 30th August 2009.

The organisers are appealing to all local clubs, pubs, groups, associations, businesses or individuals to consider entering a float in this year’s procession.

Procession organiser Mr Stephen Elms says ‘Help us to make the 2009 parade bigger and better by entering the parade. Lots of towns have lost their parade, support ours to ensure we keep the tradition alive and promote Beccles and your business, group or organisation for free in a positive manner. Now is the best time in the recession to advertise your business and entering the procession is an excellent way of receiving some great publicity for free, thousands of people line the route, giving lots of publicity to your club, business or group.’

New for 2009 is the Beccles Team challenge:
Are you game for a laugh and have a group of friend’s, or work colleagues aged 18 or over? Then enter a team. All teams must have 5 team members and will complete a number of fun challenges entry forms are available from the carnival website.

This years event will see something for the whole family, with the popular teddy bears parade on the Saturday sponsored by Toy Box and entertainment by KYSLR, with prizes and fun and games with displays to the famous carnival procession with some great new attractions.
