Varied Summer Programme set for Beccles Public Hall Theatre
Disco fever will be followed by an appearance from a group of talented playwrights during a varied weekend at Beccles Public Hall.
Paul has been hosting theme nights for more than 20 years across East Anglia and is known for the use of giant projection screens, original music videos, movies and concert footage to bring the days of disco alive.
On Sunday, the Hall is offering something completely different thanks to the talents of Wymondham-based play writing group, Four by Four.
The group was established in 2009 as a means to perform stage and radio plays of the four founding members. Four guest writers have joined the Four by Four team to present eight 10 minute radio plays, covering a range of topics.
The appearance in Beccles is part of a Norfolk and Suffolk-wide tour and it begins at 2.30pm.
Tickets are also selling fast for the eagerly awaited return of The Pure Floyd Show.
Fans of Pink Floyd will be treated to an evening down memory lane on Saturday, June 8, by the nine-piece tribute act.
Packed with tracks such as Another Brick in the Wall and Dark Side of the Moon, audiences will be able to enjoy to a light and laser show courtesy of the skilled band.
Later this month Ian Sainsbury is back with his Pop-Up Piano Bar, designed for people to kick back, relax and listen to his soothing tones, while DJ Garry Emms will be hosting an evening of Northern Soul and Motown on Saturday, June 15.
Lesley Cox, event co-ordinator at Beccles Public Hall said: “We really have got something for everyone during June from music, drama, comedy and some fantastic Norfolk playwriting. We pride ourselves on variety and I think we’ve got just the right mix this coming month.”
