Directed by Robert Guediguian and starring Ariane Ascaride, Jean-Pierre Darroussin, Gerard Meylan and Gregoire Leprince-Ringuet it is a warm-hearted drama set in the south of France. Michel and his wife have been in love for thirty years. He has lost his job as a union worker, but they live happily until a shocking experience forces them to question their ideals.
Brimming with humour, sincerity and humanity, the film explores what it means to be good in the world today. ‘Shot in warm, summery tones, the film muses on justice and forgiveness while painting a moving portrait of an enduring marriage’.
