RAFA provides Welfare, Support and Comradeship for the entire RAF Family.
The Royal Air Forces Association is the largest single-service membership organisation in the United Kingdom and has approximately 80,000 Members and 500 Branches in the U.K. and Overseas. We do not receive and Government Funding and are finances solely by contributions from the General Public, Membership Fees and Donations from Supporters.
Membership is open to everyone who is interested in supporting our aims as well as former and current members of the RAF and Commonwealth Air Forces, Reserve Forces, Veterans and the Air Cadet Organisation. Applications for Membership from those not having Service History is open to join us as Associate Members.
Members and Supporters work throughout the year to raise funds with particular emphasis on the month of September with “Wings Appeal“ collections.
The Battle of Britain
The Royal Air Forces Association Beccles and Southwold Area Branch (RAFA) along with The Royal British Legion and other Representatives of the three Armed Services, recently attended the Armed Forces Day Celebrations which took place on the Royal Plain, Lowestoft on 27th June 2009. The Event was a great success with a good turnout of Veterans and other Services Personnel and Cadets.

RAFA meets in Beccles on the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Royal British Legion Club, 25 Ravensmere, Beccles. All are Welcome.
