Jade Tree 15 years

This Saturday 10th August 2013 The Jade Tree celebrates 15 years as an artists’ co-operative. Housed in a beautiful historic building on the picturesque Elm Hill, in Norwich Cathedral Quarter, six artists run The Jade Tree sharing resources, ideas and inspiration.

Selling an extraordinary range of artisan gifts, to suit every taste, occasion and budget, the Jade Tree has nurtured and showcased the most original local art and craft silversmiths, ceramicists, textile artists and painters.

It works so well because the artists have become firm friends, playing to their individual strengths and running the business as ethically as they can, so that they have a positive impact on the region’s economy and minimal environmental footprint. They have a growing following, because, in challenging times, consumers increasingly value choice and a local, transparent supply chain.

“We pride ourselves on knowing where everything we sell comes from and who made it” says Founder Tamara Rampley.“We sell thework of nearly 60 local artists and craftspeople, supporting them and the local economy.”

The wonder of The Jade Tree is that it is ever changing, limited only by the imagination of its Artists. In addition to their own designs they create commission pieces. They also offer a free wrapping service and stock gift vouchers, for that rare occasion, when you cannot find exactly what you came in for!

Join them for their birthday celebration on August 10th, where there will be local musicians, free refreshments and craft demonstrations and they will be open late until 8pm.
