“The gems of Diss” That is what people say about Norfolk House Yard and Cobbs Yard, off Saint Nicholas St., two pretty yards with 16 independent shops. Yet many people don’t realise they are there. To attract the crowds on the late night shopping evening, on 30th November (when the Diss Christmas lights are turned on) they are pulling out all the stops. There will be music from Paddy Stratton, Nick and Ollie, carol singers, bell ringers. For families, there will be face painting, lucky dip, fire jugglers, mulled wine.

All the shops will be open. You can get food: Les Amandines and Singtong Thai Restaurants, Frederick’s Fine Food, Natural Foodstore, The Sweetie Shop.

Get fine gifts from Crystal Crafts, Blue Moon (just outside), Tigertail, Skinsense, and the best in local affordable art from the Cittaslow Centre and Shop.

And there are clothes from Lily & Rose, Ladies boutique, wool from the Diss Wool and Craft Shop, soft furnishings from Rooms with a View (just outside) plus the Antiques & Collectors Centre, and even get your hair done at the Strand.

The Diss Courtyards are the place to go on 30th November and for all your Christmas gift shopping.
