Here are some events in the Waveney area, supporting Wherry Yacht Charter Charitable Trust.

Saturday 15th August
sailing from Lowestoft to Oulton Broad, then offering 2hr sailings on Oulton Broad

Sunday 16th August

Monday 17th August
on view at Oulton Broad; sailing to Burgh St Peter (inc dinner @ Waveney Inn); on view at Burgh St Peter

Tuesday 18th August
sailing to Beccles; on view at Yacht Station; sailing to Waveney House Hotel (inc dinner); on view at Hotel
In particular the Waveney House Hotel sailing is just £28 and includes a three course dinner as well as a sailing – a real treat.

Wednesday 19th August
sailing to Geldeston Locks (inc lunch); on view at Geldeston Locks

Thursday 20th August
sailing to Geldeston Village; on view at Geldeston Village

Thursday 20th August
sees an evening Wherries and Waterways event at Geldeston Village Hall, including a talk on wherries from Hathor’s skipper, and one on Waveney wildlife from a Broads ranger. Light refreshments available. Due to the kindness of a local boat yard covering the hall hire, the Geldeston event on the 20th is now free of charge. From 7pm.

Saturday 22nd, Sunday 23rd August
on view at Beccles Yacht Station – part of Vintage Wooden Boats Association National Rally – lots to see!

Monday 24th August

Tuesday 25th August
sailing Burgh St Peter to Somerleyton

Additionally, running from Monday 17th to Monday 24th August, there is a Beccles Town Trail competition – buy a question/trail sheet from the Broads Information Centre for £1, follow the trail atyour own pace and hand in your sheet on Hathor when she is on view.

Ideal for families! First prize is a £25 voucher for Waveney House Hotel, other prizes also on offer. All proceeds to Wherry Yacht Charter Charitable Trust.
