‘Stand Up to Cancer Coffee Morning Success’
The Beccles Friends of Cancer Research UK recently held a coffee morning as part of the national ‘Stand Up To Cancer’ campaign. This proved a very successful morning with guests enjoying homemade cakes and a good chat with friends.
The total raised was just under £500 all of which will go to Cancer Research UK. Beccles Friends would like to thank all who attended and all who very generously made donations.
Forthcoming fund raising events will be a tombola stall at the Christmas Lights evening on 28 November and carol singing sessions at Morrison on Friday 19 December between 10am-12 noon and at Tesco on Saturday 20th December between 10am-12 noon and again between 2pm-4pm.
We desperately need support at the carol singing sessions. It is not necessary to commit to all sessions but very welcome if you wish. Please come along and join us as it is quite a fun event and helps everyone to get into the festive spirit. No need to book your place, just turn up five minutes before the start.
