NARS Big Heave

On Saturday 28th Nov 2015, paramedic Ross Filby will attempt to set a new world record at former RAF Coltishall.

He will attempt to pull the Norfolk Accident Rescue Service (NARS) rapid response vehicle ‘Medic 22’, which weighs over 2 tonnes, for a distance exceeding 3.5Km. The challenge has to be completed by one person. The event will get underway at 9am and he hopes to have completed the challenge well before dusk. Members of the public are welcome to come along and support him.

NARS Big Heave

Ross is undertaking the record attempt to raise funds for NARS and to celebrate the charity’s 45th anniversary.

This challenge is a herculean one which will push Ross to his limits, but it is also gaining a lot of media interest. A Facebook video of the demonstration pull, achieved over 80,000 hits in 24 hours.  We are expecting the EDP, Mustard TV, BBC Radio Norfolk and other Media to cover the event. There is therefore a great opportunity for business sponsors to purchase advertising space on the vehicle.
