NHS Norfolk – Major health roadshow this week

A major health roadshow is being staged in Norfolk this week.

Thousands of shoppers will be able to pick up advice and support on topics ranging from stopping smoking to stroke and how to get a Personal Health Plan.

The event is being held at the Chapelfield Shopping Centre in the heart of Norwich from Monday (January 10th) for the rest of the week.

There will be a video wall showing short films which promote health messages, together with displays, giveaways and a chance to speak to advisors.

It will be situated close to “House of Fraser”

The event has been organised by independent production company LBV TV based in Scunthorpe. NHS teams are using it as an ideal method to reach a large audience. They are:

•    Smokefree Norfolk – the smoking cessation team will be pointing people towards what NHS support is on offer to help you quit. People who want to quit will be able to sign up on the day.

•    Stroke  – The Stroke Association and the Anglia Stroke and Heart Network will be promoting the F.A.S.T. message via a prize draw

•    East of England Ambulance Service – recruiting volunteers for their Community First Responders service

•    Personal Health Plans – NHS Norfolk will be helping members of the public find out more about how they can take charge of their own care

•    Sexual Health – promoting the wide range of sexual health services available in pharmacies.
