Ofsted rates Treetops Nursery Thetford as outstanding
A nursery in Thetford has been graded outstanding by Ofsted for the excellence of its teaching and focused support to ensure children and their families have a happy, secure and safe environment to learn in.
The Treetops Nursery at the Sure Start Children’s Centre on Kingsway, Thetford, is run by Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust and was inspected by Ofsted on 24 September this year.
Ofsted inspector’s report rates the Treetops Nursery as outstanding and highlights “excellent teaching methods”, “exceptionally close partnership working” with other agencies, and “children’s excellent progress.”
The Ofsted inspector’s report rated Treetops as outstanding in all categories:
Effectiveness of leadership and management – Outstanding
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment – Outstanding
Personal development, behaviour and welfare – Outstanding
Outcomes for children – Outstanding
The report said: “Staff are dedicated to provide a dynamic learning environment, which contributes to children’s excellent progress. Managers and staff have created warm and welcoming learning zones both inside and outside the nursery.”
Nursery manager Rachel Sandells said: “To be rated outstanding is a real credit to the staff. We’re absolutely delighted with the report and I am very proud of the team for the work they put in with the children and families.”
Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust runs four Sure Start Children’s Centres in Norfolk at Thetford, King’s Lynn. Bowthorpe, Norwich and Cromer. In April, Ofsted rated NCH&C’s other nursery in Thetford, Kingfisher, as Good.
